Haṭha yoga is a branch of Yoga. The Sanskrit word हठ Haṭha literally means “force” and thus alludes to a system of physical techniques. Hatha is a Sanskrit word that can be broken down into two smaller words; ha, meaning ‘sun’ and tha meaning ‘moon’. The word may also mean “willful” or “forceful”.
Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of Asanas (yoga postures) and Pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring Peace to the Mind, Body and Chakras, preparing the Body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.
Being naturally a very emotional and spontaneous person, the hardest thing for me was patience, and finding inner balance. Its’ always been kind-of black and white; left or right. My mum knowing this about me tried to explain me the middle. She called it ‘The Gold Middle’. To find peace in yourself; and to discipline your emotions. I found the same technique in Hatha Yoga. All about Balance…. Body & Soul, Man & Women, Sun & Moon. By practicing it I felt the same. In a class of Hatha Yoga is the union and focus between body-mind-breathe-posture. Everything is connected and aligned.
My name is Natalja Belova based in Paris, France originally from Latvia. My professional modeling career over 15 years has introduced me to many experiences but none has impacted my life as much as Yoga. I remember trying yoga for the first time at age 18. I loved the energy and this feeling I experienced so much that I told myself I had to share it with others. Today, I happily share and teach Hatha Yoga.
